Craig Bloch-Hansen is a Senior Engineer with Transport Canada Civil Aviation’s (TCCA) Strategy and Emerging Technologies (SET) team. Prior to joining Transport Canada they worked in the defense and civil aerospace industry as a Systems Engineer focusing on system design and verification for multiple military and civilian certification projects. Craig supports the maintenance and oversight of the Canadian BVLOS drone regulations (CAR Part 9), leads engagements with Standards Development Organizations on emerging technology (including ASTM, ISO, SAE, RTCA, and IEEE), drafts safety assurance policies for drone products, and supports R&D efforts both domestically and internationally. Craig is also Canada’s member to the ICAO RPAS panel, supports the ICAO AAM Study Group, and was previously JARUS Vice-Chair (Americas).
