Marc is a French engineer and long-time Thales leader who joined the company in 1980 after earning a master’s degree in computing and signal processing from ENSEEIHT in Toulouse, later adding a PhD in computing from La Sorbonne and an HDR in electronics from the University of Bordeaux. Over a 40-year career, he has worked across naval, military aircraft, and commercial and military avionics, serving in roles including Computing Technical Director, Director of R&T for the Avionics Global Business Unit, and now Scientific Director and Academic Relations lead for Thales AVS. His work spans AI, cognition, computing, crew monitoring, and cybersecurity, and he has contributed more than 40 publications and 25 patents in embedded systems. He also serves as Industrial Director of the ALBATROS research group, coordinating collaboration with several French universities and research institutions, and was elected Deputy Mayor of Pessac in 2026, where he oversees university partnerships, innovation, research, international relations, and the city’s smart city initiatives.
