Vijay Venkataraman is Associate Fellow and Director of Perception Research at Cirrus Aircraft, where he leads R&D in perception and sensing technologies that make aircraft safer and more intuitive to fly by building the situational awareness backbone that next-generation aviation systems depend on. Vijay holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University and a B.Tech. from IIT Madras. He is an IEEE Senior Member and has contributed as a reviewer for leading vision and aerospace journals and conferences. He has authored multiple patents and peer-reviewed publications spanning perception, target tracking, and autonomous systems.
